We strive to have an open classes where everyone, regardless of background, feels welcome. We seek to get to know each other, pray for each other, help each other out when we can, and encourage each other.
We also study God’s Word together. By having open discussions of the various topics we cover, we learn from each other. A diversity of backgrounds and opinions really adds to this mix in a positive way. As a teacher myself, I really enjoy questions, comments, and discussion in class. Many times I have learned new things or had to go back and dig deeper into something I thought I had decided because of class discussion.
Another way we get to know each other is through service. Working together along with others in the church or just with our fellow class members, we benefit those we serve, we help each other grow, and we bring glory to God.
It is said, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. I assume this same proverb applies to Jill, so we do meet together on occasion strictly to have fun. Sharing meals and various social events are great ways to relax in each others company and get to know one another better.
These are the types of class we are working to have. We hope you will join us in this work!
